meh....Mizzou will just buy their arse out for the '15 game. Gives them time to get it together. $3mill buyout won't be shite in '15...

That said, Missouri does own all-time scoreboard over Arkansas State. The Razorbacks cannot say the same.
0/10
stAte vs:
Auburn 0-2
Georgia 0-2
Ole Miss 1-20-2
Ms. State 0-15-1
Mizzou 0-2
aTm 1-3
Part of the reason we don't play them:
stAte vs:
Arkansas Tech 3-4
UA-M 9-7-1
Central Arkansas 10-12-2
Henderson St. 4-2-2
Hendrix 1-9-1
Ouchita Baptist 3-8
They are not the 2nd best team in the state and we can't put Division II teams on the schedule to get the 2nd best team.

Put them in their place then. I mean if you are going to look at records, they had a better one than you last year. And common opponents, they handled UL-Monroe a feat that you can not claim. I think the Big Brother/Little Brother discussion is very much in play here.

We do not play sunbelt teams home/home.
We are above this as a program.

C'mon Dale. Don't let little bro outshine the flagship. Arkansas State doesn't run from a challenge.
They played Oregon and Nebraska last year as part of their out-of-conference schedule.
Compare those teams to the likes of Samford and U LaLa, two cakewalks that are on Arky's 2013 schedule.
This year Arkansas State will play Auburn and Missouri. Arkansas State's OCC schedule is SEC good. Arkansas, not so much.

Arky is "above" playing a Sun Belt team on the road? Now that is rich.
I can't really even digest that idea - "Arky/above anything"

On a positive note for Missouri fans, Jonesboro on gameday is similar to Columbia on a gameday. There are no hot women, no good BBQ, and no good bars for postgame

Arkansas State home and away?
I don't get this decision. MU should be using OOC games as tools to help their recruiting efforts. Arkansas just doesn't seem that it fits the bill.
They should be trying to play games in STL or KC against regional teams like Kansas, KSU, Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois, Northwestern, etc. Kansas and Illinois may not sign up for now but whoever they can play to raise their in state Q rating is an essential part of them becoming more of a state brand in the two biggest cities in Missouri.

Don't let those frickers beat you like they did A&M a few years ago Mizzou...
they don't have an NFL guy that doesn't get the college game like Mike Sherman dragging them down.

we got to give some love to the Arkansas State coach. He may be our next coach!!! OC at Boise State and Texas. He took a step back at Texas but the Boise State experience looks good.

no we don't
name one HS with a stadium that seats 30k
the biggest I know of is Alamo Stadium in SA. It seats something like 23k.

To RC:
30,000, 23,000... When you're talking about a SEC school, what's the difference? If you're an AD from a SEC school, the last thing you want to do is schedule a road game with a school that has such a low seating capacity. You're leaving too much money on the table. This is why I believe Missouri will eventually buy-out of the contract when the time comes for the Tigers to play at Arkansas State.

Did you not see the list of schools Mizzou has traveled too recently?
Besides the sunbelt has a "pact" about being a pay-for-play conference, if Mizzou tries to buyout the return trip after playing them at home, they can forget about scheduling the rest of the conference members in the non-con in future years for a while.

Hopefully the SEC buys Missouri out of this conference
I say cut our losses. Sunk costs are sunk

7k seats is a big difference once you start counting $$$. Never mind the only other stadium at 20k I can think of in Texas is the one in Frisco and thats not really a HS stadium anyway since its really an MLS stadium for FC Dallas.
and b/c you dont know the details of the deal its pretty silly to say Mizzou is for sure going to buy out. I doubt we buy out of the second SMU return trip in two years and that stadium seats just 32k officially and at least 36k once they add extra seating.
My bet is that Mizzou gave them a home and home that will essentially make the game free for them if they return. Kind of how like La Tech actually paid us to play in Shreveport and will get that money right back when they return to Kyle in 2016.
