It was the altitude! They had more trouble breathing than Eric Gardner when he sells loosies.

I’ll say this: it seemed like, although they waited till the 4th and ultimately it was too little too late... Mizzou flipped a switch in the 4th quarter. They went from down 17 with 10 min left to having a chance to win at the end. Ended up outgaining Wyoming by 150 yards. That to me implies they’re much better than how they played for a lot of the game. Had they not made so many self-inflicted mistakes in the 2nd/3rd quarters, some of which were right at the goal-line, they win easily. If they iron out bonehead plays they should be ok going forward. If I’m a Mizzou fan I’m disappointed of course, but don’t think it means much in terms of how the rest of the season will go.

Tennessee was different. They got straight up outplayed and dominated. And they never flipped a switch in the 4th. If they were any good they would’ve said “enough fricking around, we’re playing for real now” at halftime or at the end of the 3rd quarter and flipped the switch. Conversely, a team already being outplayed did even worse down the stretch. No weird flukes or anything... dominated at both LOS play after play by sunbelt players. UT is an awful team and is fricked.

Coincidence that Wyoming cost Fulmer his job.

He was fired before the Wyoming game by a couple of days.

I finally watched the game last night. I mean....they straight up got beat. I fell asleep in the fourth though. Still. It didn't seem like a mistake. Just like Tenn they looked out classed.

I never got the Missouri hype. They lost their best QB in program history.

Not even close...

Chase Daniel
Brad Smith
Debate between James Franklin, Corby Jones, Blaine Gabbert, and Lock.

Lock's stats blow away everyone but Daniel and Smith but the other guys accomplished far more that actually mattered.

I’m really not sure how you could possibly watch that game and come to that conclusion.

The worst play of the game had to be the red zone fumble right before the half and the resulting tackle.

This run back was so long I had to break it into two gifs

I get that he's the QB not a DB but if he just pushes the guy out or makes a normal tackle as time expires thats 3 pts off the board. Just two horrible errors on that play.

Yea, I watched the long highlights and looked at the box score and Missouri was absolutely not "outplayed".

They made the types of stupid errors and mistakes in spots that destroy you and make it nearly impossible to win, no matter who you are playing.

Missouri with the second best pass defense in the SEC

Only 92 yards per game.

Somehow LSU topped that by allowing 24 yards

Well Wyoming frequently has a major talent deficit but they usually execute very well. Having Bohl as your HC and Vigen as your OC will do that.

And Missouri, for whatever reason, has a noted tendency to be atrocious in their first couple of games before they flip the switch in recent years.

All of which is a nice way of saying that by the time we get them Mizzou will be humming along at top speed.

Turned it over twice at like the Wyoming 2 yard line. It was a hilarious loss, but tbh it was a fluke. If that game is played 10 times, Mizzou wins 9. This just happened to be the other 1.

OTOH, all circumstances being equal as they were last week, (week 1, UT unfocused/looking to other games) Georgia State legit may have won 5 of 10 against UT. If we played again this week UT would win because of motivation/revenge, but it’s obvious that UT is too bad of a team to show up unmotivated against ANY team and expect to win.
