really? I am a Memphis fan too, but why do agree to this, unless it is for recruiting purposes?

Recruiting is likely a big part of it. Also, a couple of our asst coaches have taken jobs there in the past year, Barry Odom and one other whose name I can't remember right now and am too lazy to look up.

Plus it's a close trip for Mizzou fans who live in southeast Missouri. Parts of Missouri are less than an hour from Memphis.

What's Kent St. paying out these days? A couple turnpike passes and half a box of sweet-tarts left over from the movies?

When it's time to get our next kicker don't be surprised if we go to Mexico or Central America and get a soccer hoss.
Don't we already have a Brazilian?

You are from the Bootheel. How far is that from CoMo? I always feel bad for fans down there, as every other part of the state has direct highways to Columbia.

If you're thinking of Camara he transferred to UCA when Hocker beat him out. I heard he's actually living with Hocker's parents in Russelville and staying in his old room.

Yeah that's who I was thinking of. I guess that would be what a kicker had to do...it's not like kickers go down with injuries all the time. If you get beat out, transfer.

I grew up in Cape Girardeau. We were about 2.5 hours from Memphis. It was slightly closer to Ole Miss than to Mizzou. Lots of kids from the southeast part of the state go to Ole Miss because it's closer, and they're offered in-state tuition so it's cheaper.

From my house to my parents, it's about 220 miles, between 3.5 and 4 hours depending on traffic in St. Louis. Back when Warren Hearnes, from Charleston, MO, was governor, he made plans to build a highway from Jeff City to Sikeston. Didn't get done when he was in office, and the play got scrapped. That would have really boosted attendance to Mizzou from the southeast part of the state.

Its funny you mention that. I was looking at a map and was wondering why there was no direct highway. Yall need it bad. I wish there was as rural Missouri will be key in growing attendance moving forward.

I feel the same way about UAB. I'm just glad Saban had a "oh shite" game at Bama too. Also glad Miles avoided one of those against Troy

I honestly believe if it weren't for that shitty game, we wouldn't have had the run we did immediately after (2 straight undefeated regular seasons). It was a learning moment. I'm glad it happened.
