If Mizzou did decide to go to the B1G, who would the SEC get to replace them? If a grant of rights is as binding as everyone thinks, that removes all of the ACC, Big 12, & B1G schools as replacements. I always figured FSU wouldn't sign a GOR, so I figured they would always be around if Mizzou ever did go to the B1G. Now that they apparently have, I don't see a viable replacement for Mizzou.

And for those entertaining the idea that Mizzou would bolt for BIG, you clearly have no idea what actually happened with that situation. The fanbase was never excited about going to the BIG, it was the only conference entertaining expansion at the time the BIG12 was on life support... the SEC move brought overwhelming support from over 90% of the fanbase, a move is not happening.. sorry you're stuck with us.

Just banish Mississippi State to the Big East and you have 12 teams again.

Using the TV-markets metric, sure, Mizzou makes more sense than several current members in areas with fewer TVs.
We're here because we're batshit crazy about football, and baseball. And we used to be a contender in basketball (and will be again soon).
And because they wanted 12 for a championship game. Not because of TV sets. And all around, we're solid and GAF about the sports that the SEC GsAF about.
We put 51k fans in the stadium for our spring game, off 4-8. We put 45k last year after Petrino-gate.
Y'all are just a little different. But you guys should know...variety is the meth of life.

After so many years of LSU rejecting them as a Rival, I think it makes them feel special to have someone else to kick the ball too
