This. Just wait until we've been around long enough for rivalries to happen. The piss bombs will fly. Everybody is hugs n' sugar now, give it a couple of years.
Yeah here's one of those lovely shirts the nice classy Mizzou fans wore to the KU game at Arrowhead. Some sick people...

Those t-shirts seen above that some Missouri fans are making for the showdown at Arrowhead in two weeks are celebrating the Lawrence Massacre and in fact have Quantrill's visage and slogan emblazoned on the back - "Raise the Black Flag and Ride Hard Boys. Our Cause is Just and Our Enemies Many". Talk about going straight past normal levels of fan behavior and making a hard right turn into loony land, that might be the single most offensive gameday t-shirt I've ever seen. Kansas fans are now responding with t-shirts sporting noted violent Kansas abolitionist John Brown (who led a massacre of his own and the 1859 Harper's Ferry raid that really kicked off the Civil War powder keg) with the slogan "Keeping America Safe From Missouri Since 1854" - a mock-up of those t-shirts can be seen here.

Do you know the history of Kansas vs Missouri fighting. I've read and heard all about it.

No, he's pretty much dead on. History be damned during Border Showdown week the burning down of low rents is a common subject amongst MIZ fans.

Major fail. What Bayou wrote is true.
Another example of why I don't hold southerners as highly as I used to. They know hardly nothing of their own history.

Pretty neat. I expect Bama to have a full page ad, all color.

That's why I laugh when people call Missouri "yankees". From Louisiana, grew up in Kansas, been in Missouri for over 10+yrs. People in Missouri are not yankees. There was a lot of bad blood between them and people fighting for the union. A lot of people murdered in Kansas and Missouri. Union soldiers were executed over in Kansas by people from Missouri which is about 15 miles from me. It's a national historic site.
And the history classes between the two states are different.

Regarding these facts, I also laugh when our fanbase uses this as their basis for a "cultural fit" in the SEC. History is history, and that was 150 years ago. It has nothing to do with the SEC. The cultural fit is there, but it is not cradled by what happened during The Late Unpleasantness.
The cultural fit has more to do with values, food, and lifestyle, IMHO.

Sorry for being excited about the SEC... how revolting of us.
We don't get to have fanbases like Georgia roll thru town too often, it's a welcome change. We're used to dickheads from ku and Nebraska.

No one used it as a base. Just corrected that guy. Don't dig too deep, keep it simple.
As far as fit, one of the base arguments is Arkansas has no natural rival. Missouri and Arkansas blend with the Ozarks, and a natural rivalry will develop. We already have developed a recruiting rivalry with them... so thanks for jumping to conclusions. Also as someone else said today, StL and New Orleans has similar cultures. Soulard is very New Orleans. StL also shares a lot culturally with Memphis.

I'm in Joplin...Seen lots of Arkansas specialty plates, Razorback decals on cars, license plate holders, Mirror license plates, etc. It'll be a GOOD rivalry. HOG fans are invading southern Missouri since their home base is a lil over an hour away. I think it's funny they lost to ULM, wonder how proud they are now since they want to strut their stuff around here.

We'll see how long that shite lasts. Wait til Grantham goes full retard one game on them.

Mizzou fans aren't fooling me, they're playing nice right now. The Arkansas vs Mizzou rivalry will get personal, ugly real quick. Add in Mike Anderson jumping ship. It'll be interesting up there in CoMO when the HOGS travel up there for basketball.

Just wait til you play UGA in Athens. They have their very own special brand of dickhead. That group doesnt travel but is around in force on home games.

Ok, this shite has to stop. Mizzou bumps its chest about burning Lawrence down. Yes, we all know this. But God knows yalls fans wouldn't bring up support of slavery if you were celebrating a Big Ten invite instead of an SEC one. The funny thing is that it matters less to us than the fact the state of Missouri calls Coke "pop" or some shite.

They'll be pissed after the beating Bama puts on them and then have to listen to the shite talking. Bama fans took over Bourbon St after they beat LSU as if they owned New Orleans. I made sure to stay away from that area to keep from getting into fights.
