But it's pretty easy to recognize.

There are number of scenarios that would make it a different case, like "he's a young coach that needs time to learn" or, "he's just getting his first start as a HC" or "the program he JUST inherited was a shambles", or "his awesome coaching staff was just hired out from under him and the new guys need time to gel".

Yet none of these are the case.

Exxxxaaaaactly.

Like, this thread is hard to be in because I'm having flashbacks.

ALL of that was said when Muschamp was hired, but a trained eye could see that he simply did not have what it takes.

Similarly now, we will run into the "It's the OC" or "This position coach is the problem". Goddamn, I don't miss those days. Trust me man, I've seen this before.

The worst part is it's very rare to have a: "Okay, you were right", thread. The diehard supporters just sort of slither away or pretend like you didn't call it.

Pinkel's offense got 6 first downs in a game, at any level -- this is a unilateral failure. No matter how "good" the defense you're playing is, six first downs is inexcusable. This is an SEC program, not a division II school.

You really are clueless about recruiting. Mizzou gets a lot of good players from Illinois.

Y'all have gotten two four or five star players from there the last three years. Zero four or five stars from Ohio. That is all I am saying. Recruiting isn't everything, but it separates a UF job from a Mizzou job.
