Mizzou fans - Gameday question...

What are the "liquor laws" in Columbia on gameday? In some places, like Baton Rouge, you pretty much have to be force-feeding a cop a bottle of bourbon to get into trouble. In others, like Gainesville, you can't even cross a street with an open container. Where does Columbia fall on this spectrum? Can I wander anywhere I want with an open container? Does my beer have to be in a Dixie cup? Do I have to be hanging out at a tailgate trying to hide my alcohol if I want to drink? Thanks in advance. Georgia fans feel free to respond with your experiences as well.

Columbia MO is the place that arrested their Head Coach for DWI, and the campus PD picked up DGB for a little weed.

Pretty lax. Open containers walking around campus, glass bottles, liquor, etc are all allowed on gamedays. As long as you're not an idiot.

Well officially, we have a strict open container law. But in reality they don't enforce it on gameday. At the Georgia game, I walked by 4 highway patrolmen and crossed the street carrying my drink. They don't care. The Georgia fans were shocked at how relaxed it was.
You won't have any problems. Unless, that is, you start causing trouble. If you're just having a good time, you're fine. If you start heckling people or starting fights? Then they might decide to enforce the law.

They are pretty lax on gameday. Any other day, watch your arse.

How about getting liquor into the game? I assume they check purses and bags. Since it appears it may be cold and/or raining what about coats?

Don't check coat,can't bring any outside food or drink in including water, and you can only bring in a bag a certain size Mizzou gameday policies

I've walked into the stadium with a flask in either my back pocket or boot every game. If you're a dude they leave you alone unless you're carrying a murse. 
As for open container you will have no problems, technically we are a wet campus on gamedays now

yeah at least for students anyway because when you go to the student gate they don't ask to search your coat or sweatshirt or any part of your body only if you bring in a purse or bag full of shite. You can bring blankets, small bags, and actually one bottle of water per person in clear bottle i know those stingy bastards but yeah you shouldn't have a problem with small bottles in pocket just be careful when inside stadium with all police and ushers. Are you coming?

I was at the Mizzou/Vandy game. Walked a mile with a beer in my hand, sort of staggering along the roadside....walked right in front of 3 different cops and actually waved (head nod) to all of them with my beer in hand - no problem....noticed literally thousands of people walking around with beers in hand....
After tailgating, I walked into the game and was never frisked or asked any questions....guys sitting directly behind me were mixing Gin into large cups of Sprite....they snuck their pints of Gin into the game in their wastebands/underwear.....worked perfectly.
Just don't make it too obvious inside the stadium. Otherwise, easy as 1, 2, 3...

Open containers around the stadium are fine...you can walk right up to the entry and throw your empty in an already overflowing trash can....
All bags are checked but on your person you will be fine...
Downtown Columbia is safe to walk anywhere but I would be careful with open containers in the District....
Mizzou Fans are very hospitable and will welcome you with open arms...but don't get obno or you will find that we are also a very proud resilient bunch that don't appreciate rude guests. If you want to find trouble you will...see movie..The Outlaw Josey Wales...don't mess with us...it won' be pretty...
Enjoy I think you guys will have a great time...pray for sunshine....current forecast 60% chance of rain
