Women did a pretty damn good job serving overseas, serving in intelligence services, leading French resistance cells and engaging in covert/intel sponsored combat operations, building America's war machines, traditional bombs, nuclear bombs, and test piloting the planes male pilots flatly refused to fly, particularly the B-17 flying fortress, taking over manufacturing and keeping America functioning while the men were away.

As to neutering men... meth is a helluva drug. Feminism? That radical belief that men and women are equal benefits men along with women. If it was all it was made out to be men would already have been rounded up and placed into camps instead of commanding all the gears of power in this country. And that part of the feminazi conspiracy is always the part that makes me giggle - women are supposedly responsible for all this male oppression yet all the lawmakers, judges, and powerbrokers are still men.

Just having a little fun poking holes in the ridiculous feminazi theory. There are people out there who actually believe that shite and the absurdity of the Rush Limbaugh narrative that 'zomg! teh evil wimmenz are oppressing us rich powerful white males (never mind we control everything)' always warrants a solid mocking.

panzer : Breaking: Missouri DE Michael Sam, admits to being a sodomite.

You should read some of the various states statutes defining sodomy Panzer. Not what you think it is...in some states oral sex could actually fall under sodomy definition. Bet you're a sodomite in several states.

Bigger man than most straight guys. Takes some courage to do that. Good for him.

It's always sad to see the powerful get crushed underfoot of the powerless. They're so very helpless against it. It's so obvious the rich billionaire who said that rich folks are being treated like Jews during the holocaust was onto something. That man was speaking truth to powerless. Billionaires are being carted off to camps every day by those too poor to own carts and too powerless to convince the railroad operator to lend them so much as a steam engine or use of the tracks and yet somehow the powerful still wind up in those camps.

It's always amazing that so many of them wind up way atop crosses and even sadder they had to climb up there all by themselves.

Being gay is no more a choice than the color of one's skin!

Ironically, the Bible is full of conundrums.

Good for him. Takes a lot of courage to come out at this time in his life.

That being said, I am interested to see what this will do to his draft stock. I am sure publicly it won't have an effect. The interesting part will be on draft day.

Best of luck to him.

I have no problem with someone being gay, but it would be the end of the world if we ever had a straight pride day. So who was the first straight player in the NFL, we should go ahead and recognize him as well.

Suppose this is huge with it being the 1st NFL player coming out, but this guy will be showered with love by most. Its nothing like what people coming out faced(Pure Hell from most) when it wasn't the cool thing to do. This guy will probally benifit from coming out and I wouldn't be shocked if he got endorsements because of this. That's a much different welcoming compared to days of old, not even close.....

Sorry if I don't do backflips over this
Maybe I've got coming out fatigue syndrome

Oh yeah, the 1st few generations that came out were true heroes. They risked a bunch and it was a big deal then, but not so much anymore....

Straight pride, are you fricking serious? Gay pride day exists because of how consistently LGBT people have been discriminated against. It's a time for them and their allies to support each other, inspire each other, celebrate each other, and just be who they are without fear of discrimination.

That's why there's no straight pride day. We don't need a pride day because we can live our lives without fear of others knowing who we are. We don't have to struggle for acceptance by the rest of society.

It's trivial to understand why Michael Sam coming out is actually a brave thing. If you don't get it, then you haven't thought about this from the perspective of a gay man in the NFL. Would you want to hide who you are out of fear of consequences if people knew? I sure as hell wouldn't, but I probably would.

Context... why do you think there are no openly gay men in the NFL? Is it because it's sooo easy to be a gay man in the NFL? I don't think so. They fear the consequences.

No one knows how well Sam is going to be accepted. That's why this is a big deal--he's going to test the waters for the first time. That's noteworthy.

Shoot, guys that aren't gay get ribbings all the time in lockerrooms. It's what guys do...... Plus, these days no one is going to risk messing with him. Back in the day, sure. These days there might be a few fools crossing that line, but will that be any different than the ribbing some face everyday in the NFL? Rookies have a tougher time than what this guy will face. Sam will be the most protected NFL player in the history of the game. Let's not act like he's facing major risk here.....
