Capacity prior to the east side expansion was 71,004. It dipped by a few thousand when they were working the expansion. Now it is 71,168.
That will likely dip and increase again as the South end zone gets a major tune up with increased suites and premium seating (dollar dollar bills y'all).

Mizzou fans tell "sofa" that he hit the nail on the head the other day.
The addition did not decrease capacity, but it only went up by a couple hundred. It was more for improving the look of the stadium and adding luxury boxes.
Capacity is just slightly over 71k currently.

The south endzone should've been redone to add 5,000 plus seats, but Mizzou decided to spend millions on look and feel - you know, to polish a turd - and only to one side of the stadium.
So what Mizzou has done over time is create a Frankenstein stadium mishmashed with renovations and additions that don't follow any longterm design theme.
No side of the stadium is like the other side. The south endzone just sucks arse. I wouldn't even sit in those seats for fear of structural collapse.
The north endzone is a grassy knoll.
The western and eastern sides are totally different and have zero design similarities.

I'm on my phone or I would. Yes it's a big improvement. The South EZ complex will also be a huge improvement. That area sucks hard and it's going to be completely rebuilt, hopefully. Once they get that done they can mirror the West side with the East side and the stadium will be looking pretty good.
