He isn't. It's coaching.
He doesn't trust his teammates enough in the final minutes. It could be an ego thing, but that's probably been coach/media'ed in to him. That needs to be unprogrammed.

Even as crappy a 3 point shooter, odds say he'd hit one of those heave-specials of his against Arky, A&M, LSU, Kentucky, UCLA or Tennessee. Yet he hasn't. He's o-fer in close games. Not one won by him.
His dad was on StL radio last week. Sounded like an enabler to me. But he's obviously gonna defend his kid in the radio.
