Missouri
Aug. 31 at Wyoming W Laramie, Wyo.
Sept. 7 West Virginia W Memorial Stadium
Sept. 14 Southeast Missouri W Memorial Stadium
Sept. 21 South Carolina L Memorial Stadium
Oct. 5 Troy W Memorial Stadium
Oct. 12 Ole Miss (Homecoming) W Memorial Stadium
Oct. 19 at Vanderbilt W Nashville, Tenn.
Oct. 26 at Kentucky W Lexington, Ky.
Nov. 9 at Georgia L Athens, Ga.
Nov. 16 Florida L Memorial Stadium
Nov. 23 Tennessee W Memorial Stadium
Nov. 30 at Arkansas W Little Rock, Ark.
Wouldn’t be completely shocking to see them 11-1 with this schedule. Every road game is very, very winnable aside from Athens. The easiest schedule in the SEC this year and not even close really.
That said, I’m just not a big believer in Kelly Bryant. Yes, he’s talented. But he also had tons more talent around him at Clemson and Dabo knew he wasn’t good enough to win it all.
Still, they have above average talent at QB, WR and RB. Their TE may be the best in the conference. And the Oline will have to replace two, but looks strong and stout at a glance.
Not sure, but have read Missouri may play nickel mostly since they have a very good secondary with tons of experience and depth. They lost two LBers from last year, so only having to replace one with a nickel package might be of benefit. Dline looks stout against the run, but doesn’t really generate much of a rush.
Special teams: Have a decent kicker, not spectacular. May be their punter as well as they lost their starter from last year to graduation.
The wildcard with Mizzou is the postseason situation. Will that be a negative in motivation? Don’t know. But right now I have them 9-3 and second in the East.

Loss to South Carolina. Book it.

I think 10-2 is realistic for Mizzou.
I can see them losing to USCe and UGA

I will always wonder why the SEC offices in BHam gifted that schedule to Mizzou. It boggles my mind that they came up with that schedule for a program that might not even be allowed to go bowling.

I've learned to stop predicting these game. The SC-Mizzou has been a series of the stupidest football you've ever seen. Think UF-Miami but without the entertainment. At least SC comes out on top most of the time.

You have them losing to Florida?

Just one minor correction on your post; all 3 of those 'L's.....change 'em to 'W's and you're there

They might be favored in every game except Georgia. 10-2 w/ losses to UGA and Kentucky

I wouldn't say I'm a big believer in Kelly Bryant. I think he's good but I don't think he can beat Georgia by himself.
Of course we wont know until we see them play a few games. I could see Missouri being anywhere between 7-5 to 10-2.

Mizzou's offense won't be as good, but it doesn't have to be. If their pass defense isn't just objectively awful (as it was for most of the year last year) and their special teams are just bad (as opposed to --outside of their punter-- the worst in FBS) they'll still do better than last year because of the schedule this year.
Heck, maybe we can even have just a normal game against SC. No monsoon, no bizarre comebacks and (thank God) no Stephen Garcia. On second thought, those games are entertaining if nothing else
I'm super optimistic so I see a loss to GA in there and that's it. But I think really, tossup games at KY, vs SC, vs FL are likely, and Mizzou was a hiccup away from losing against Vandy last year and Vaughn is still playing.

I made my UF picks before Miami and I'm not changing that now. But I don't think that's the same UF you will see all season long.

Maybe but it's the same Franks we've been seeing for over a year and that probably won't change.

11-1 sounds reasonable?

Not buying the Mizzou hype.
Sorry, just can't do it.

Stephen Garcia never played against Missouri.
