I'll be honest...I thought the Big 10 was a better fit for Mizzou. However, they have prospered and thrived in the SEC. They are now a perennial Top 20 program, and they now land really good football players.
So, why aren't they a good fit? Is it because we're too mid or too west? That's kinda silly, because we're reasonably close geographically to most of the schools in the conference.

We are the northern most and near western most state.
We are half plains, and half hills. Our hill people are quite like Kentucky and Tennessee hill people in my opinion, but our plains people are like Iowa and southern Illinois people.
It's all just stupid narratives. People are alike wherever you go--you can find backwoods people in Indiana, Colorado or Wisconsin. There's just a few more in the south.

What's so hard to believe about that. We were at war in one for 20 years and are still dep,oying to the other. The real trick would have been to somehow avoid them over 24 years. And yeah, Leonard Wood is terrible
