Mizzou had 3 starters out with injury on defense for the game against Ohio State. And we still held them to zero TDs. Don't act like the win over OSU wasn't a good win. Everyone acts like they didn't even field a team.

Dude, you wanna keep clownin so I'm going to tell you what happens if mizzou had Burden on the sidelines and had to use a true freshman QB so tOSU defense could just run to the football every play (even with 3 starters out on defense).

Mizzou gets shut out. That's what happens.

if our offensive line could have blocked georgia in our second game of our inaugural sseason in the sec, we could have won double digit games three seasons in a row

You’re about to become the Nebraska of the SEC. Bob Stoops is long gone

oklahoma fans pay attention, because this may be important for your first season in the sec. if you're offensive line can't keep your qb from getting knocked on his arse you aren't going to win many games in the sec

if your OL can't "keep your QB from getting knocked on his arse", you aren't going to win many games anywhere.

But thanks for the pro-tip, amateur.

Just curious, don't you think that traditionally there was a time when Oklahoma vs Nebraska was bigger than your rivalry with the Shorthorns?

you don't seem to understand why ohio state's offense had no success in the cotton bowl

Yes. The entire time we were in the BIG 8 with Nebraska.

Sure I do. I watched the game and saw your defense crowding the box all game because tOSU didn't have confidence to throw the ball with a HS kid out there. You think that's tough sledding for a defense to run to the RB every snap and it's the correct call 3 out of 4 plays?

Ohio state won a natty with a 3rd string QB. That's entirely irrelevant. It's not the same guy.

Not irrelevant. Elite programs have elite depth. If a program that is littered with NFl talent can’t beat a program with a 35th ranked recruiting class on average than their coach sucks. Idgaf if they have a 3rd string QB. Their Defense held them to 13 points. Produce 2 touchdowns with NFl talent you have all over the field.

Just because you have had good recruiting classes doesn't mean they're ready to play. We're talking about a tOSU QB who had just gotten out of HS and was a true freshman who hadn't played a down of college football. You can pretend "that shouldn't matter" all you want, but it does.

I didn’t say it shouldn’t matter I said a program with better players across the board should win with their 3rd string QB against Mizzou. You should blame shite coaching for not producing 14 points. It would’ve taken 2 touchdowns to win the game.

It’s a weird hill to die on too as an OU fan. Mizzou was a better team overall than Oklahoma and had a more impressive resume. I’m guessing you have some beef with Mizzou from the Big12 - idk why anyone would shite oh mizzou with no dog in the fight

A true freshman QB was the national championship MVP 5 years ago. A freshman QB has started in 4 of the last 8 national titles.

There's a reason that has only happened twice. That's not a point you have there.

True freshman? You know there's a difference.
