Missouri/Kansas is the closest thing to a European soccer rivalry as there is in the US. the hatred comes from *who they are as people*, and the ball fields is a way to manifest that. I get it, and respect it.

It's not the same, of course, but Carolina/Clemson hatred is similar in that the original divisions were based on the people of both places, not the school/AD. Again, just a manifestation. I'd pull for Communism vs Clemson.

Muschamp's last win that felt like it was legitimate. The 2019 UGa game was Mukuamu taking things over on his own.

The Shawshank Redemption game remains one of my favorite SC games of all time.

Let's not get too carried away here. The hatred we have for Clemson doesn't pale in comparison to ANYTHING. Those assholes are unbearable.

Have to say, that's football. The kind of hate that burns couch's. Missouri/Kansas is War. The kind of hate that burns cities. Lawrence could use a good burning. It's gone to shite since the last time we cleaned it up.

If people knew the history of the rivalry more maybe it would be more fierce.

Clemson legislators fricking with our status as a university, the near shoot out between students that led to the suspension of the game for a few years, pranks that led to the death of at least one chicken and one cow.

On a side note, SC's Qb in that game, Michael Scarnecchia just passed the SC bar exam. Congrats to him.

cant say I agree.

Had the Cardinals not won a WS game an hour later, I would have drank too much and ended up in a ditch outside of an east st louis strip club that night.

It goes beyond football though. It started because of how Clemson was formed as a university. Having them in the same state also makes it 10x worse. I'd kill to have a state buffer with those assholes.

Unlike most major college rivalries, the Carolina–Clemson rivalry did not start innocently or because of competitive collegiate sports. The deep-seated bitterness began between the two schools long before Clemson received its charter and became a college. The two institutions were founded eighty-eight years apart: South Carolina College in 1801 and Clemson Agricultural College in 1889

I would openly cheer for ISIS if they invaded them.

Nobody gives a shite about the state of Kansas. You're lucky they mentioned it in the Wizard of Oz or it would be completely forgotten about.

And that same list has New York State as #5 for Natural environment and Utah #47.

Yet....
New York

Utah

I'd say that list is a bit suspect...

I wouldn’t worry about rankings. Just follow the people and that will tell where people want to live. SC’s population has boomed, KS’ has dwindled because no one that can afford to move would choose to live in that place.

While South Carolina is in the Top 5 states that more people are moving to.
