Like Coon said, we'll be playing 4 top 10 teams. Our SOS will be in the top 25 or so, even playing the doo doo's. We are still developing the program, learning how to win.
Sorry - I want better than this.

Yeah I figured it was scout. Where did state finish on Rivals and 247... you know, the respectable sites.

Who deems those respectable over scout? You? GTFO

Fwiw I was recruited out of high school and dealt with both Rivals and Scout, and Scout by far does a more in depth analysis of a player. They get more film and do more interviews so I trust their rankings more than Rivals. I do not know about 24/7 personally though.

Fwiw we signed the #1 Dline class in the country. 5* DE 5* DT 4* DT Also a 4* CB Will redmond, 4* OLB and 4*MLB (2 browns)

Scout again? They hand out 2484 5*s every class so I'm not really impressed.

Pretty much anyone who follows recruiting will tell you scout is the worst Their player rankings are a joke. The only thing they are good for is information and even that varies from each teams site on their.

Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, and? We play four top 10 teams and we still schedule teams like Clemson. Maybe your AD should grow some balls and do what the other successful programs are doing.

We've scheduled Oregon, West Virginia, Ga Tech, Houston all in the past decade.

Can I claim games against UCLA in 2000 and Oklahoma in 2002, as evidence of tough scheduling?

Ok want to play this game? One of those 2 5* on scout is a 5* on 24/7. The other is a high ranked 4*.

On scout, there is a 3* DE, that is a 4* on 24/7. The others I listed are 4* on both sites. GTFO.

I've talked to plenty. ESPN is the worst followed by Rivals.

247 and Scout tops.

Scout has sucked for quite some time. Rivals passed them years ago, and 247 has now passed Rivals.

Are you guys planning on starting 3 freshmen and a juco on the defensive line and two freshmen at LB?

I didn't say they ranked everyone higher. I said they handed out way too many 5*s and are generally way off from the other sites rankings. I didn't say the players sucked either. Just admit you used scout because it made your class look better. Everyone does it anyway and to whoever said we didn't recruit that good this year should check the rankings again.

This. And I've stood by this for years, not just because their "rankings" are favorable to us. (which really don't make a frick, because they are either good or bad, and we got some really good ones in this class. Rankings on those sites are based on personal bias and opinion only).

I've dealt with Scout and Rivals personally, and Scout does a more thorough job. They may give out more 5*, but that don't mean shite, between the sites the players national ranking will be very similar. Look at that instead of stars, stars don't mean shite. It's the ranking.

Where did I say this? I'm talking about building for the future.. but yes the Juco guy is a beast and will start. We still have Boyd on interior line and Eulls at DE. Evans may start as a freshman, and he is damn good and would do a decent job.

The other guys won't start, except maybe one of the LB. I'm not sure who we have at LB besides Lawrence.

National rankings aren't hard to do. All the sites are the same there. Its once you get outside of the 250 where you see who is really good at their job.
