I'm not an attorney, but I would venture to say that Cal playing at Ole Miss would be included in revenue collection purposes considering the fact that they will receive a paycheck for the game being playing in Mississippi and the contract has already been signed previous to the enacted law

This is how Fresno State was able to travel to Alabama for their football game...the contract was signed before the bill went into effect.

San Diego State had to raise private funds to play their NCAA tournament game in Kansas last year, so I assume that is how Fresno State would have made the trip to Starkville. Just have the booster club pay for everything and don't use any public funds.

Stanford is a private school so this wouldn't come up.

I assume that Cal/Berkely is also a private institution? They are visiting Oxford in football this season.

So let me get this straight...

We can keep our state flag as it is and pass stringent abortion laws and people from places like California will boycott us and refuse to visit the state.

Or we can change those things and have the Californians bless us with their presence?

Hmm...

That's the problem. You're determined that everyone should be straight.

Oh my. can we expect issues come September regarding their return visit and the game being played? I remember reading about this state employee ban, but I never thought about how it might affect Berkely coming to the Sipp to play a football game.

Is this the thread where I tell you that Stanford's going to tear Miss State a new a-hole?

You don't really believe that, do you?

funny that a state will prohibit travel to another US state, yet openly will travel to countries like China.

California and communist China have more in common than Cali and Mississippi

Close a few games from putting a state travel ban to a test to see how it would hurt NCAA athletic competitions.

The law grandfathers any partnerships or agreements that were entered before enactment. Their agreement with the NCAA is the contract that is exempted.
