Federal jobs that fingerprint you are the only way they find out. A standard background check won't return expunged or youthful offender charges.

I had to fill out paper work for a security clearance and it specifically asked if you had had any arrests or convictions expunged. And it's my understanding that expungements don't completely erase offenses. Some agencies and licensing boards will always have access to it.

Yep...fingerprints always show up. I found that out the hard way.
In all honesty though, it doesn't matter what job an athlete applies for...a simple Google search will yield results regardless of it being expunged.

Pretty sure you are correct about expungments and they definitely do not do anything on the arrest side. Once you are arrested and fingerprinted, it is there. However most states don't communicate and a background check in one state is only going to show up what is in that states database.
Not like it matters in this case. Simple pot misdemeanor isn't a big deal to most employers and will be even less of one in the future.

Joint is anywhere between .5-.75 grams. A blunt can be anywhere between to .75-1.5 depending on how good the roller is

They need to hurry up and legalize weed everywhere, this state needs to look at how much Colorado is banking off it. Prohibition didn't work, and trying to keep weed away from the masses hasn't worked out either.

I don't think you comprehend how much money police departments and governments make from weed fines. I think Miami makes 20,000 plus a day from weed fine alone. (That could be wrong don't qoute me on that)

I'm not concerned about how much the cops make off busting people w/ weed, it's a natural substance, and if an adult wants to smoke it, that should be their right.
The state could tax the shite out of it, and put that money to good use (not assuming they will though), they need weed tax money and a lottery system. They keep complaining how broke they are here, hell, here in Jefferson County, the public school system is in continuous cut back mode, laying teachers off and not hiring staff they need.
