BK couldn't make that adjustment like Kirby Smart did in the second half. Isn't that part of the reason BK never won a championship at this level?

Not saying we didn't make some adjustments, but some film guys also noted there were at least three times Milroe kept the ball on read options where he should have given it up in the second half. One would've scored Bama a much needed TD and possibly ended UGA's comeback hopes.

Cubelic claimed early in 2023 that Bama wasn't running the read option plays because Milroe couldn't properly read them. I asked him on Twitter about it later in the season and he said Milroe had gotten better at it and they were working it back in. Last year, just seems a lot of it was pure selfishness on his part. Wanted to be "him" too much.

Milroe played well against lsu but as importantly sheridan ran the ball to backs, milroe hit check downs. Then they threw that strategy in the garbage the rest of the year.

The fact that we won 9 games with him at QB should be worrying for opposing fans.

Nah, Bama fans constantly pretend this guy was arse when he was actually above average but not great.

You should be forced to watch the OU, USC, UT and Michigan games for making a comment like that.

If you take away his run game and easy looks he struggles. If you do that and pressure him off the corner he collapses because he can’t process the defense, adjust protection or call audibles.

He was still an above average college quarterback, also the best on Bama's roster apparently.

#15 QBR in the country this season.

For a comparison, Diego Pavia was #26.

Saban made the 4 team playoff with him as a first year starter.

He declined a bit this year, not sure if that's on coaching or what.

That's a fact.

He couldn't read the defense before or after the snap. Couldn't check down on receivers, had poor pocket presence, and wasn't very accurate.

Those were his good qualities.

Not against those teams.

He shredded teams who couldn’t matchup up athletically with him like Missouri and LSU

Rating By Game:
UM: 103
OU: 73
TN: 93

Against any team with a defensive pulse he folded.

Hell against LSU he was only at 117, you just let him run the wildcat down your throat.

Every quarterback has bad games, sometimes you win them and sometimes you don't.

The dude won't be an NFL quarterback, he wasn't even a great college quarterback, but he was above average on a whole. He's become the scapegoat for the Alabama decline.

He was perhaps one play from winning a natty in 2023.

Alabama won the SEC title and was a play away from the national title game in spite of Milroe, not because of Milroe.

He is the primary reason for the Oklahoma and Michigan 2024 losses. All you have to do is watch the game. He produced zero tds for Alabama in the OU game and gifted OU 2 tds on successive possesions. The 2nd time, a pick 6, he could have simply pushed out of bounds the db that intrecepted the ball, but intentionally whiffed.

He turned the ball over vs Michigan 3 successive series.

Fumbled at the 19 yard line. Defense holds, but Michigan kicks a field goal

Next series throws interception Michigan returns to 16 yard line. TD in 3 plays.

Next series, 1st down Milroe fumbles at the 6 yard line. Defense holds, Michigan kicks field goal.

You only think Milroe is decent because he's pounded LSU the last 2 years. It's not because Milroe is good, though, it's because LSU defense has been horrible.

Major revisionist history here, 2023 Milroe was #9 in QBR (ahead of Penix btw) and received Heisman votes.

He wasn't bad.

Maybe he'll opt out of the draft and play for your team then. I'm glad he's finally gone from mine, and if you'll notice, most other Alabama fans feel the same.

oh yeah, and he was so good in 2023 that he produced the #70 passing offense in the nation. Rees did a good job of working around a shitty qb.

In the playoff game vs Michigan that you said he played well, he produced 116 passing yards in the game and on the last play of Alabama's season he panicked and ran straight into a whole pile of defenders instead of running to the left where he might could have beaten one defender.

Hey, but he dominated a shitty LSU team both yrs so you think he's good.

This one play where he tried to leg whip a guy running his pick six back for a TD is the one play I'll always remember about Milroe, no matter how he does in the NFL (he'll flop)

I couldnt believe it when I saw it real time. Ive never seen an intentional whiff tackle like that attempted in a football game. Made me think he's gotta have money on the game or something.
