The fact that Petrino was mad is not misinformation. The untruth that he refused to shake Les' hand is in fact misinformation.
I'm just giving you a hard time because you said Petrino not shaking Miles' hand was circumstantial evidence that he was indeed talking to Miles when he yelled FYMF. I'm pretty sure everyone knows who he was talking to anyway.
Quote from Pat Forde post-Thanksgiving:
quote:
Bobby Petrino (38), Arkansas. He’s a great coach but a perpetually chippy guy, and it showed when he appeared to be F-bombing Les Miles from across the field late in LSU’s beatdown of the Razorbacks. Then Petrino gave Miles a blow-off postgame handshake. At apparent issue was an LSU field goal with about five minutes to play that made the final score 41-17 – nothing at all egregious for a team trying to lock up a spot in the national championship. The Dash remembers watching Petrino hang 70 on Cincinnati, 69 on North Carolina, 65 on Houston, 63 on Oregon State and 61 on Florida Atlantic. Now that same guy is mad about a field goal being kicked on his third-ranked team? Have a hankie, Bobby

Call it what you will, but it was definitely not a normal post-game handshake.

Wow, she's quite cunty today. Irl I doubt I'd be as nice.

I never said it was a normal handshake, I just said it happens a lot. Why can't you just admit that you were wrong. A "brush off handshake" is still a handshake. He didn't "refuse to shake Miles' hand"

Because I'm not wrong. Miles had to grab Petrino's arm. What does that indicate to you? It indicates Petrino refused to give a normal handshake. If he refused to give a normal handshake, then how is that not a refusal? Forgive me for not adding the adjective "normal." Most knew what I was insinuating. And you are making this a huge deal, when I was merely bantering with Marty (I've already said this).
If you're fine considering a "brush-off handshake" the equal to a normal handshake, you won't get very far, pal. People consider brush-off handshakes as an insult. It. Isn't. Normal.
Posted on 2/4/12 at 12:31 am to gallagherkck
Did you even see what happened? Miles didn't have to grab Petrino's arm. They walked toward each other and both extended their hands for a handshake.
again
Since you obviously didn't see what happened, or else don't remember what happened, here you go

Is that your only view of the incident? Have you not seen the multitude of different angles? My God, the fact that you are beating this dead horse is beyond me. It was a joke. A joke.
And if you need further proof that Miles grabbed Petrino's arm...
I started a fricking picture account just to show you this FACT because your one source is the video from the game.
See? Miles had to grab his arm. Or are my eyes faulty and I'm wrong about that, too?

Please stay on point. First you said Petrino REFUSED to shake Miles' hand. I said that he didn't. Then you said it wasn't a normal handshake. I never said it was normal, just that it happens a lot. Then you said that Miles had to grab Petrino's arm to get Petrino to shake his hand. I posted clear video evidence that Petrino and Miles both extended their arms for a handshake. Now you are just saying that Miles grabbed Petrinos arm. I never said that he didn't. That occurred post handshake. It is remarkable to me that you just can't admit you were wrong when you twice said that Petrino refused to shake Miles' hand.
When you have no facts to back up your original statement you redirected your arguments time and time again. There is no point in debating something if you constantly change your argument.
ETA that picture is post handshake as Petrino was turning to leave the field

The Admiral is gonna stick around and let some douche rub his nose in it. They shook hands, (frostily of course) and BP turned 90 degrees to light into his team.
Bitch arse Les Miles was just 'floored' that a coach wouldn't gush and guff all about how well the other team beat our arse. There's a lot of emotions involved and a lot at stake. It's not peewee football where everyone gets a trophy.

Holy frick. Are we not talking about this stupid handshake still? Pretty sure that's directly on point.
quote:
First you said Petrino REFUSED to shake Miles' hand.
Correct. My exact statement was:
quote:
So why wouldn't he shake Les's hand??Pretty good circumstantial evidence.
quote:
I said that he didn't.
Yep. 10-4.
quote:
Then you said it wasn't a normal handshake.
Right. Because I accidentally omitted that key word, which has somehow put you on a crusade, thus, magically and ridiculously spawning this pissing contest.
quote:
I never said it was normal, just that it happens a lot.
OK.
quote:
Then you said that Miles had to grab Petrino's arm to get Petrino to shake his hand.
Wrong. I said:
quote:
Miles had to grab Petrino's arm. What does that indicate to you? It indicates Petrino refused to give a normal handshake.
Look! It's that magical word again, which apparently calls certain posters to arms for a crusade!
quote:
I posted clear video evidence that Petrino and Miles both extended their arms for a handshake
Correct. When scrutinized under a microscope, I admitted I should have placed that oh so crucial word "normal" into my original post. See:
quote:
Forgive me for not adding the adjective "normal."
quote:
Now you are just saying that Miles grabbed Petrinos arm.
Wrong. I'm saying that Miles had to grab Petrino's arm in an attempt to get a normal, post-game handshake. See again:
quote:
Miles had to grab Petrino's arm. What does that indicate to you? It indicates Petrino refused to give a normal handshake
quote:
That occurred post handshake
Yes. I know.
quote:
When you have no facts to back up your original statement you redirected your arguments time and time again. There is no point in debating something if you constantly change your argument.
Fellow, when did I change my argument? Please. SHOW ME. I merely admitted that I should have placed the adjective "normal" in my original post, because evidently, we are all Rhodes scholars in this forum and need clarity about every single incident.
quote:
It is remarkable to me that you just can't admit you were wrong when you twice said that Petrino refused to shake Miles' hand.
If this is your main goal, then you really need some help. Most objective individuals on here will admit that Petrino did not give a NORMAL handshake to Miles after the game because of whatever pissed him off in-game. Hence, the arm grab. But instead of laughing it up and playing under the bridge with the rest of the trolls, you've continued into the morning hours requesting an acknowledgement of fault that simply isn't justified.
I hope this small consolation places your mind at ease:
quote:
So why wouldn't he shake Les's hand NORMALLY??Pretty good circumstantial evidence.
HAVE A GREAT, NORMAL DAY.

I didn't have a goal, I'm just stuck in an airport waiting on a delayed flight. You continued to respond so I figured you wanted to extend the discussion. I didn't mean to make you so mad, if you were here I'd give you a normal handshake.

We have respect, too many LSU fans were worried about the Arkansas game beforehand.

Bobby and Les could probably teach the fans from both teams a few things about not dwelling on insignificant bullshite.
Posted on 2/4/12 at 10:23 am to Latarian
really? Why don't you review the end of last year's game before saying shite.
