Wow..interesting. Saban lost his shite when Sumlin was running the spread/hurry up offense at A&M. Leach’s air raid will drive him up the wall. This will be a real interesting matchup..the architect of the air raid offense versus traditional SEC defenses. Leach has shredded defenses, no matter where he has been....look at the scores he runs up..but traditionally he ignores the defense. Get ready for a bunch of shootouts.

I keep saying these don't really exist anymore.

It will work. It's already being run by
several schools i.e. LSU, OLE MISS, AU next year, Bama to a degree, MIZZ in the past, the Locke yrs.

Fly high, crash often, no defense.

What I want is Leach in a pirate outfit sitting next to Saban muttering, “Aye, aye” to everything he says. Dude is going to be glorious.

His 2017 defense finished 16th in the nation.

I think the big problem with the D is that they are on the field so much. Leach's teams either score quickly or run out of downs quickly. Either way, there isn't a whole lot of rest time off of the field.

I don't think Leach will be a championship coach at State (or anywhere for that matter) because of his offense/defense strategy (think Sumlin, who was with Leach at Oklahoma and is Leach 2.0). I do think he will make State much better than the product on the field this year.

The best thing about Leach being in the conference is....that dude is one entertaining motherfricker.

Everybody will be Leach fans. Aggies hated and yet LOVED Mike Leach when he was at Tech.

A Cougar High fan (U of Houston) got him to sign his book with a popular Leach meme (allegation) about Craig James that we suspect (know) was started by Leach himself. Leach obliged!!!

Craig James Killed 5 Hookers at SMU.

The dude is a legend.

State is better than A&M in all four major athletic programs.

Tell us how big that endowment is and how much you pay your football coach. We'll still just keep kickin' that arse.

In what universe is MSU ahead of A&M in football either currently or historically?

Nice hire for State. He’s going to be an entertaining addition and a good foil for Lane Kiffin’s antics.

Egg Bowl will be more entertaining.

After some time to sleep on it and reflect, I gotta say I’m excited. I’m about 80% sure he won’t be able to protect the QB well enough at State to do his thing, but maybe I’m wrong. And he’ll definitely up the entertainment value.

I think Cohen got in a bind with the search, and it was Leach or drift like Tenn did and wind up with a nobody.

He has elevated defense at Wazzu. His problem last year was massive turnover on his staff. His staff at Wazzu gets gutted.

It’s tough to get a regular pass rush against his system.

Having to play Mike and State after the Bama vs LSU games is just going to make that game more of a struggle.

Great hire for State.

Cohen probably was going for Leach as #1 the whole time and let the rumor mill about Judge & Napier provide the smoke screen he needed to get it done without BS in the media. Or maybe we didn't get Napier or Judge and Leach was the hail mary miracle like most of our games 1998-2000.
