there was so much to love about that. The fact he repeatedly said Monk and his family received benefits, the whiny voice he used for Monk, and the fact he said it would have been fine if he went to Duke despite the fact they have started taking one and dones

Sadly, or hopefully...depending upon your perspective, I think there's a chance that Monk and his money hungry brother will end up being the straw that takes Calamari down for the third time.
The kid is already tweating out a link to a website that sells tickets to AAA sanctioned games he's playing in...a website that his brother runs. Its a business for him, but I doubt they had the patience to wait to get paid.
The rumors of Calamari promising to help build the agency business smell bad. One player isn't really that big a deal and he'll only play for a year wherever he goes anyway, but I think it'll be good for the overall game of college basketball when somebody at the NCAA decides that the current system is broken.
IT ain't UK. It IS the NBA and NCAA allowing the 1 and done debacle to take place. I'll amend my view to say that UK hiring a coach that plays the AAU circuit mafia grease game to get players is pretty sad...but it is the way to work the current system.
