alshon jeffrey was better than aj green and julio jones because of some stats.
He was certainly in the conversation before he put on an extra 35 around the midsection.

Gurley and Davis are not the same type of back.

Mike Davis is Marshall Faulk esque - home-run hitter with sneaky power.

Gurley is more Adrian Peterson, not quite as top-end fast as AD, but a more natural runner (not as upright)

Because he's not always healthy. That's his one flaw so far.
Well, hopefully he'll stay healthy the rest of the way and put these threads to rest.

There will always be some excuse from the cock worshipers...guess they overlook those partial game (2) stats...but oh well, what do you expect from the salt life bunch?

Lets come back at the end of the season and see how things turned out. With Gurley being injury prone he could end up out for the year or he break out a heisman worthy season if he stays healthy.

Todd Gurley

splitting carries with another back that could start at almost every other SEC school...and he has had injuries...

Gurley > Davis

time will show that I am correct...

This may be correct, but

This is not sound reasoning. Davis averages 1.5 more yards per touch. BTW, they have the same number of rushing attempts on the season and Davis has about 4 more total attempts from scrimmage.

And? That has nothing to do with the point you made that I refuted.

Also, one could argue that USC has played just as difficult or more difficult rush defenses than UGA. Additionally, Davis is averaging 35 more yards per game. Even with the alleged discrepancy in competition, there isn't 35 ypg difference in the schedules.

Not a huge difference in what Gurley has faced defensively. Again, not even addressing the point my comment addressed.

Opponents' rush defense (nat'l rank):

Clemson- 44
USC- 40
North Texas- 82
LSU- 55

UNC- 113
Georgia- 38
Vandy- 61
UCF- 52

The difference just isn't that great. Not to mention we've played our 2 toughest games on the road.

Has Davis been more productive through 4 games? Sure...is he a better RB than Todd Gurley? No.

Has played 5 games and has 100 carries, 29 more than Gurley and Davis. And hasn't played the same competition USC and Georgia have.
