I’m actually fine with missing the playoffs. This team was not ready to make a real run and I’d rather end the year on the upswing of beating the Ags and the meatchickens. Take this momentum into spring and get ready for a run next year.
Genuine, non-trolling question. Would you rather go 10-3 and win a quality bowl while beating all three of your rivals but also lose three times (including one to a 5-7 team and another via blowout), or go 11-2 and end the season with a loss to your abhorred rival and a loss in the first round of the playoffs but also enjoy an 11-game winning streak that included some great beatdowns? I’ve been struggling with which one I’d pick.

Easy to answer…look at the fan bases. Both our seasons are over but which fan base is happy with how it ended?
Ps…I liked your previous avatar better.

This year , I am happy with the way the season progressed. Arch was not ready early but boy is he now. He had 376 yds of total offense tonight, 221 passing and 155 on the ground.

Yes, but I had more fun during this season than any other besides 2012 and maybe 2020. Texas had some really low spots over the course of their season.

Going into the next season completely deflated isn't close to going into it on the feeling of being on a winning path.

Before the playoffs began, I’d rather have made the playoffs.. but if my choices are the two you listed, I’m Choosin’ Texas, I can tell by the way I’m two-steppin’ ‘round the room..

True…but we got to enjoy watching a QB grow into his own and a team stand up after being knocked down.
I’ll take that over getting knocked down at the end.

Good win Texas.
Way to stomp that team up north.

I’m not talking about next season. I’m talking about the entirety of the season.

In this particular year and in Texas current situation, I’d take 10-3. If Texas had never been to the playoffs I might take 11-2.
This was a good outcome for Texas though. This team was flawed and constructed poorly. They weren’t going to win it all.
Texas has had the opportunity to start planning for 2026 since late November. Texas is going to be ready to roll when the portal opens.

Ags should be proud of the season they had. Broke the 8-4 curse and got into the playoffs.
Breaking the mental curse is the first step.

If Elko complains about reporters asking BAS-type questions again, he should have his pay docked.
Also, thank you. You’re a classy guy.

He’s still new…he doesn’t understand the decades of torment the Ags fan base has endured.

That would be better. Is it a running joke with y'all?
