Kiffin at Miami is a good fit

I would agree on the face of it. But as mentioned earlier, would the board ever ok such a hire?

Mkke Leach would be epic there

He'd be an epic shite show that's for sure.Gotta a huge buyout at WSU anyway and Miami couldn't afford him.

I can think of 8 other jobs in the ACC that are better destination than the "U".Its all about money and facilities these days and Miami has neither.

Are you guys nuts? What are they gonna pay the new coach with? IOUs? counterfeit money?

It will be an asst coach somewhere or ex HC somewhere without too much baggage. They just dont have the ponies needed to hire a big name. UL coach Petrino could be considered...he is the type that could live in South Fla. and plenty of chicks in South Beach. He would be at the top of the wage scale they could afford. UL probably is paying him cheap because of the Arkansas crap. Just a thought, but he might be wearing monitoring bracelet around his penis when wife sees the chicks down there.

If Kiffin went to Miami and took Cristobal with him, Miami would destroy Florida and FSU in recruiting.

That would be true with the old Miami. The new Miami is neutered in recruiting south Florida until something changes with their administration imo. They need to rebuild the Orange Bowl too.

UL pays em around 3.5 and is a better job.Better facilities and have some pretty wealthy alums that kick in big time bucks.

They need to appoint Uncle Luke as their athletic director and let him hire who he wants. I bet he would hire Kiffen.

I like the recruiting assets Kiffin and Petrino bring to the table, but would never hire LK as a HC there. He had his glitz and glamour at SC and failed.

also you know that Miami doesn't want to go down probation road again do they...maybe they can just cheat better

All of this. As long as Donna Shalala is President (is she still btw?) Miami athletics are fricked.

Yeah Donna Shalala is still el presidente and is a mess. She could make little children cry at Halloween.

3.5 million (are we sure Petrino is paid that at UL?) is out of reach for UM. Unless they provide some of that talent there in South Beach + 2.25 mil. + designer drugs.

but the way to bring the football program back is to bring back the gangsta perception

This couldn't be further from the truth. I wholeheartedly agree with ESPN here. The college football landscape is nothing like it was 25 years ago. The only way Miami will return is if it creates it's own identity.

Players have been latching on to that gangster mentality without success for a long time now. It doesn't reflect the reality of the university or the community it's located in. It's time for a new identity.

Miami doesn't have a gangster image and haven't for decades. They're just an undisciplined team and just about any team that's undisciplined will jawjack and try to fight.

Their players think they do, and that is the problem.
