If he is a recruit, Bama will pay twice the Auburn rate.

And obviously the money part is a bad joke, I know one of the kids and yeah it’s clearly a “bandwagon” deal but was still the first time I ever remember having 4 or mire people wearing LSU gear at that gym.

Mobile area is very different than rest of Bama, kinda like New Orleans is to Louisiana. When I first got here a lot of kids signed with LSU or Auburn. Saban killed a lot of that but it seems like Bama fatigue or something now. It seems like significant number of kids are at least willing to look around again.

I was pretty shocked to see a lot of LSU gear 2-3 years ago in your city. Didn't realize Bama had a good number of LSU faithful being 2 states away.

Baton Rouge is about the same distance to Mobile as Tuscaloosa and Auburn

The purple and gold I see most relates to Daphne High School. Maybe you should read the writing instead of going by colors.

Lived in Mobile for a while. It did not seem at all like the rest of Alabama. Seemed more like NOLA but felt like Biloxi.

Well Mobile, Biloxi, Pensacola, New Orleans all have more in common with each other than with their respective states. Theres maybe four Catholic Churches in Montgomery and there are like 25 in Mobile. Same population size

suddenly I am seeing high school athletes, wearing LSU gear every day now, often outnumbering the Bama gear wearing people.

Yep, that leprechaun was over in that area, somewhere near the big bridge if I remember correctly. I lived in Mobile at the time, and I pretty sure it was a just short skinny crackhead, but you gotta give them the benefit of the doubt there.....
