Kel’el Ware because he is 7 ft and you cannot teach that.

I think he avoided Arkansas because Muss will get every ounce of effort from his players. I doubt he wants to come here.
I'm sure Muss wanted him but he can his Intel from folks that know him well and be honest with him. I think the feedback was negative enough that Muss didn't want to waste too much time recruiting him.

We had a 7’5” player who wound up sitting the bench. Tall ain’t any good without desire.

It didn't make sense to me that a dude that tall would lose tipoff battles against much shorter players and struggle against bigs from Colgate that was as clumsy and slow as Herman Munster.
Then he transfers to Oral Roberts and his stats get better against similar competition to Colgate. I guess the light bulb finally came and the clock was ticking that he needed to use size advantage besides sitting on the bench giving out water to the starters.

His vertical was probably lower than an athletic 6’8 player

He loved to shoot the 3 and when they quit falling he was irrelevant.
He was pretty good till we entered conference play but after that he was pretty useless.
Good kid, not so good for our system.

He couldn't gain any muscle. He weighs around 220. That is super skinny for his height.
Someone compared him to Steven Hill which is dumb. Hill would start for Muss as he was a very good rebounder and a good shot blocker. His offensive game kept him from having a long pro career but it was still better than Vanover.

He was blowing up late in his freshman year at Cal. Muss saw something in him to get him from the portal.

I was referring to Vanover, I know nothing about Ware. If he’s good well bring him on.
But Corliss was only 6’8” and we won a natty with him in the middle, heart can be bigger than height…….

Corliss was a lot more athletic than Vanover.

Yet much shorter.
Heck, look at Kamani Johnson, put his heart and desire in that body and he would have tried to whoop everybody in the whole damn arena.

We got a commitment from an Andre Mills a ranked as the No. 129 prospect nationally and No. 25 shooting guard in the 2024 class in the latest Top247 rankings.

Are you talking about putting a heart and desire in Vanover?
That wouldn't work very good with a stick figure body.
