Maybe Norvell wasn't such a great coach

FSU blows this year. I'm glad we didn't get Norvell. Kiffin will have us in a much better place and he certainly has a better handle on the dynamics of emotional players during a time of racial unrest. Same goes for Leach and Pittman. They will end up being better hires than Norvell. He should have stayed at Memphis. FSU is going to be a career killer for him.

FSU is in the dumps and 75 milly is all to blame. Aggie is next

We considered hiring him too. He just seems blah.

No one was turning this around in year one.

Norvell is trying to clean up the mess that Willie Taggart tried to clean up. A mess created by Dumbo Fisher.

That program is gonna need about three years worth of enemas to get all of the trash that Jimbo left behind out of it.
FSU: when keeping it real goes wrong.

its not the Norvell offense that blows its FSU as a whole. Both Miami and FSU have former Auburn coordinators and you seen what happen Saturday.
Jimbo left FSU in shambles, and looks like Texas A&M will head that same route soon.

I hate FSU but I think he really did take over a lose-lose situation at FSU.
Taggart basically let players do whatever the frick they wanted, and so they now feel like they "run" the program for the most part. Norvell never had a chance, man. Especially in a Pandemic year with fewer practices, where he himself got sick and couldn't travel for the Miami game.
I would never want him at Florida, but I just don't think he was ever going to be successful at FSU.

I don't think it's totally on Norvell. He has made some questionable decisions since he got there but FSU from top to bottom is just a shite show right now
I don't think he realizes how bad it truly was until he got there. Kiffin is much better suited to handle a situation like that than Norvell

How do you pass on Kiffin for Norvell? And, after Norvell FSU will be begging Deion to take the job.

UT and FSU both have gone down the fire the coach road.
Instead of keeping a coach for continuity while you seek out a better alternative. There are years where you don't fire a coach.

What about Drinkwitz? I guess you don't like him?

When questioned earlier about this I replied.

I don't think he would've take a step down from Memphis to UMiss. He inherited an awful situation at FSU plus Covid nonsense. Will take years to rebuild

75 million dollar man burned the place down on the way out the door like Botch Jones did at UT...Willie either fanned the flames or didn't know how to put out the flames. Norvell took over a culture problem like Pruitt took over from what Bozo Botch left. It takes time to change a culture and about the only way is to get rid of the bad seeds and bring in your own players.
