Agree, we took our grandsons to one State football game and one basketball game in the recent months. Had a great time at both but the game itself was not really the focus at all. Just the experience around it.
Basically teams have paid mercenaries (with a few exceptions) and that is it. For better or worse. Most likely I will continue to take the boys to one game a year but that will be it.

A few years ago he did a mini-doc called Uneven, addressing the college baseball scholarship issue. I enjoy hearing his insights as a former college athlete.
