I already addressed this in both the post you originally responded to as well as the following one. Keep up......
I even gave the benefit of the doubt in not including the Texas game. He was arse but apparently still playing with an injured thumb for whatever idiotic reason.
And if you look even more into the context of the post you originally responded to....you would notice the post is referring to Mateer. Not sure if you're aware, but he didn't play for Oklahoma last season. So....just hear me out for a bit.....I might not ONLY be talking about Oklahoma.

Your post I commented to has been edited and just yammers about my defense comment which you took out of context to include non P4 teams we've faced, as if I'd talk them up as good defenses in the first place.

There is no hype coming out on him. There was during the pre-season and especially after Manning tanked in his debut, and not so much since then. And to answer your question above, the "hype" was coming from media clowns who spent the off-season trying to shove Arch-Mania up everybody's asses and then they pivoted to Mateer to cover for their foolishness.

Also, last year you were 6-6 and finished 29th in scoring defense. That's good, but it's not elite. Returning starters from that defense doesn't immediately translate to elite status.
