"..we can only sign blah blah blah because of Orgeron....now Im missing my QBs", these things come at you so fast they just mess you up...Pete, I need two years, although Ive recruited like a madman (cough, cough) I lost most of my stars from 09 and 10 has lots of risks...2 years Pete, I gotta have it brother.

Mackey will run around you. Mackey is good but he'd be alot better if we could've redshirted him this year.

Also he was coming in to run our Wild Rebel formation basically. I was expecting us to lean heavy on the wild rebel this year but you don't really want Mackey to get hurt since he's the only backup.

Mackey was the man in high school. Had DeAngelo Benton and Rueben Randle to throw it to, though.

No, He got kicked off his previouos team. The exemption is for players in good standing who leave to follow a chosen acedemic career path.

You're missing a key point. He had GRADUATED from Oregon already. What other standing could he have other than "graduate"?

This is just another example of the NCAA screwing someone to make a point. Whether you like Masoli or Nutt, they followed the rules that were given.

This... he followed the rules, but the NCAA decided to make an example of Masoli and send a message.

THANK GOD!

He was Ole Piss's only chance of being relevant this year.

Being eligible to play for that same team would have been one of them. Had he been welcome on the team from which he was transferring, THAT would have been much better than suspended....no?

Only thing I can think of is what someone else already alluded to. They don't want to create a loophole where kids can bypass internal discipline by transferring to a different school.

If the NCAA upholds their decision, does Ole Miss honor his scholarship for 2010?

Come the frick on.

Just say something like "we took a shot and someone flipped the lights on"

Playing dumb and acting like some innocent kids is getting screwed is just fricking lame.

Here's the message, don't take shite that isn't yours and don't get caught smokin weed while on probation.

He graduated early, he transferred to another school which had a graduate program that Oregon didn't. That's the rule.

I'm fairly sure if you look it up the rule will not say:
"you are allowed to transfer to another school without sitting out as long as you have graduated and the 2nd school has a graduate program that your former school doesn't have, and as long as you are leaving your first school in good terms and have had no off the field issues while you were there."

It's a simple question: if this guy had been an average student, would the NCAA have done the same thing? His history at Oregon is just that history. If he was still an undergrad I wouldn't see the problem with this at all.

You are right, but he followed the fricking rules this time. They should let him in then change the rules. Greg Paulus(sp?) did this same shite at syracuse

how do you know they aren't changing the rules and having them go into effect for this season, you know the one that hasn't started yet?
