I’d tell the dad to go control his wife before coming at me. Hope he isn’t riding an assistant coach about Sears not playing the second half with thousands of people around. Not a good look.

I don't buy it. If it came from Next Round it is probably Brown just stirring shite up for clicks. He's an Auburn cocksucker and hates Oats.

DeBoer starts a poorly performing quarterback for half a season and that’s a problem.
Oats benches a poorly performing point guard for a half and that’s a problem.
People just love to bitch it seems.

Yes.

Before last night, he’s the leading scorer in the SEC on a team with ridiculous depth. Not lived up to expectations?
It’s old fashioned coaching, which all sports fans yearn to see in the NIL era. You don’t do what I tell you to do (defense, in this case), you sit the bench.

I have no problem with what Oats did because it appears to be about Sears defense.
That said I keep hearing people saying Sears has been awful and not living up to the hype.
Just want to point out that entering the LSU game Sears averaged 21 points per game in Sec Play and 7 assists per game in Sec play. Both of those figures led the league
And just to clarify, that's with a 4/1 assist to turnover ratio. So before we crucify our best player because it's the hot topic, how about we let the coach do his job.

No doubt. And Alabama missed him in the last couple of minutes. The young guards got baited into trying to score off breaking the press a few times instead of recognizing they were getting baited into quick shots to extend the game.

Honestly, I wish Deboer had shown the balls that Oats has shown benching his veteran PG who isn't playing at the level he should be.
Huge difference between a first year coach just trying to keep a team together and get his program started and a coach who's been there for years and has established his own culture and has been winning at a high level.

I guess there’s a third team involved for this scenario?

Broome is consensus top two for college POY. Do you think he will go in the Lottery?
No.
I love JB, but modern NBA requires 3 point shot at most positions.
He would have thrived in 1984 NBA.

Agreed. The reason guys like Broome and Sears are still in college is that they are not highly rated NBA prospects. Broome will get drafted but likely late first round. I don’t see Sears getting drafted at all. Older, small guards don’t appear often in NBA drafts.

Define “pretty well.”
Need 33% to make the match work.

35% last season which looks like a bit of an outlier considering he was at exactly 29% the season before and this season.

I like JB.
So he is as good a shooter as Jabari in college?
Lottery pick seems high to me for him.
I hope he is, but it is rare air.

An outlier on heavier volume? Some mental gymnastics you got going on....
Broome can shoot the three. That nuch is proven.

Broome isn't going to be a lottery pick but I think he could be a late 1R pick. He'll definitely be on certain teams boards as a late 1/2nd round target.
