Bush played a huge role in the return game and as a receiver. He was a better investment than Ingram by far.

The reality is that Ingram was a bad investment. He very well could go to another team and light it up. He has the talent. He developed a reputation for being lazy but he came into this season in great shape.

More likely he will continue to make teams, miss a handful of games a season due to injuries, and have a few good games a season

To be honest, Mark is a good NFL RB when he's healthy. He should have run for 1400 yds. But the Saints...

Saints were no good this season. We have major problems and paying a huge check to Ingram/any middle of the road RB just doesn't make sense

does trich even make a team next yr?

Not unless he gets his head of his arse. Don't forget he ran behind one of the greatest lines in College history. With that being said, he definately has some issues that he cant seem to handle off the field. Personally, I wouldn't want him and his issues on my team.

Was this a reputation voiced by his teammates and coaches or by people like you that really have no clue, but make stuff up because they think it makes them look like they are someone that matters in the sports world?

These types of threads make it evident that LSU/Saints fans would rather the Saints burn than for a former Bama player to succeed at the pro level for the Saints. The level of hate LSU fans have for Alabama and all people and things associated with Alabama is mindbogglingly pathetic.

No doubt. He could have had 2,000 yards this season and they'd still want him gone. They were probably breaking shite in their house the day the saints drafted him.

I really, really hope you don't invest money for a living.

Bush's career yardage & TD total with Saints: 4,952 total yards and 33 total TDs in 5 years. His guaranteed money in NO was $26.3M. That means the Saints paid Reggie $5,310/yard gained, or $796,970/TD.

Ingram's career yardage & TD total with Saints: 2,714 total yards and 20 TDs in 4 years. His money so far from NO has been $5.3M. That means the Saints paid Mark $1,953/yard gained, or $265,000/TD.

Ingram has cost the Saints 37% as much as Bush did on a per yard basis and 33% as much per TD.

Bush helped lead the Saints to a Super Bowl victory. Take Reggie away and the Saints probably don't make it to the big dance.
Ingram on the other hand.. not so much.

Bush was electric and put asses in the seats too. Looking at just stats is asinine. But you knew that already.

Ingram is what he is.. a mid tier RB

Andy Dalton is now in the pro bowl.

David Garrard made a pro bowl.

He will likely be gone by the time the Saints are on the clock, but I can't help but pray that they draft Landon Collins.

Talk about THE MELT of all melts.

Maybe, but that's an assumption and no actual facts to back it up. In 2009, he had one of his worst years as a Saint. His YPC were up, but he only carried 70 times.

All in all, Bush had 27 punt returns for 130 yards (a 4.8 avg, or 7.2 avg when you take out the fair catches), 47 receptions for 335 yards and 3 TDs, and 70 carries for 390 yards and 5 TDs (17.1 % of all his yardage came on a single 55 yard carry). To be blunt, his best years came AFTER he left the Saints, proof that NO is a graveyard for RBs. And in 2009? He had not much impact on the Super Bowl run. Or are you referring to his 8 yards on 7 carries against the Vikings in the only closely contested playoff game the Saints were involved in?

Not to mention Bush lost as many fumbles in 2009 with 70 carries as Ingram did with 226 carries this year.

So, nothing really backs you up, except a weird desire to people fail based on what school they went to.
