While its true that time heals all wounds, we can both agree that surely those pictures can be deemed offensive. But lets be honest. They weren't taken the day of. It's a blurry line and i see your point, but the typcial way to react on the day of someone's death is to at least empathize then after a period of time has passed feel free to cast judgement. At least thats my view.

I am none of those people. So hypocrite would be off track. I just know that he has a wife, 3 kids, all of whom could not care less about a freaking rivalry right now. The guy hated bama and loved stirring the pot. That being said, he was a father and husband. At least for the sake of his family, why make disrespectful comments either way? I just don't get it. But don't lump me in with those idiots. I shouldn't have generalized. But the theme on this thread was initiated and added to by all alabama fans. So that's why I posted what I did.

I apologize for calling you a hypocrite then.

Some people do tend to take these rivalries a little too far out of context (another prime example is the burning Nick Saban in effigy). Like I said, the vast majority of my friends are Auburn fans (and my mother graduated from AU), and all they do is trash talk, but that doesn't make them bad people outside of the football realm.

I am willing to defend him, just by knowing at the end of the day IT'S A FREAKING GAME and people allow their passion for football to take control of their humanity.

With that being said, I didn't know him personally. But I'm not going to judge him based on his hatred for Alabama. There are a lot of teams I hate, but I wouldn't want people to think otherwise of me...

I see your point and I wasn't alive at the time he died, so I don't know how it was then. But say if I were his grandson and I seen this, I would be greatly offended. In addition, nothing struck me harder (the dead bear jokes really doesn't bother me in all honesty) than the video of the AU fan pissing on a picture of Gene Stallings' son.

That is just wrong... and I don't want to make this a one-sided affair either. There are Alabama fans who do the same thing. The point being, no fan base should point fingers at one fan base when their antics are practically the same.

Wow, that video of the Auburn guy pissing on a photo Stallings dead son, is one of the most classless things I've ever seen come out of the rivalry. I'm sure 95% of Auburn fans would agree.

Pissing on a picture of his kid, yes. Disgusting. Here, about halfway through.
