The replay i saw the shot was short, and after hands make contct beneath the ball it bounces on to the rim.

I think you can argue the call was incorrect. I don't think you can say it was clearly incorrect.

That's a good point.
It was just a very odd ending (close enough). You don't (or I don't anyway) see many goal tending calls on 3 pointers.
