This sounds like something Levis's agent fed to Mortenson. If someone really thought Levis was their franchise QB, they wouldn't have let a toe injury stop them from drafting him because that team probably isn't ready to win immediately anyways.
I do feel bad for the guy because that had to be a really shitty feeling to be the only one left in the green room. The league should probably reduce the number of prospects they invite to the draft.

Give him four seconds, and he'll hold the ball five. Give him three seconds, and he'll hold it four.
He can throw the ball sixty yards. But he can't throw a seven yard slant, a ten yard cross, or a tunnel screen.
