It's now being said that Trey Biddy is backtracking on this claim. He says nothing has been decided and thinks there is a good chance he comes back for his JR year.
Trey Biddy's information is about as useful as tits on a Boar Hog.

Sums it up. Just a way to drive traffic his way.

where there is smoke there may be fire. I think he will be back but beat he tests the waters and if he is a top 20 pick he might jump but I think he will make a lot more money after next season.

When I was his age I joined the Army because my $500 a month apt and student loans were too much.
The Army gave me a 7k sign on bonus.
If someone asked me at 21 if I would like 11 bazillion dollars this year, or 15 bazillion dollars next year, I have no doubts that I wouldn't wait a day longer.
I'm sure Ryan isn't strapped for cash but it takes an amazing amount of discipline and risk to say "I can be set for life in a few months, or I can roll the dice and risk it all for an extra 20 to 40%, of an amount that is already astronomical.".

I'm guessing that when you did that you weren't one of the biggest stars in the country and an absolute god on your campus.
That makes it a little easier.

Most are predicting Mallett from 2nd round - 2nd day.
That is about a $35 Million dollar pay cut if he leaves this year as opposed to next year. And the cap probably wont start till 2012 per ESPN

People that pay attention to college football know who Mallet is but he falls way short of well known - let alone one of the biggest stars in the country

A couple million bucks will make it very, very easy to replace unbathed college kids adoring you as you walk to class, with some of the baddest bitches in whatever city you land.
Mallett can be flying private jets to Vegas for the weekend with Jessica Simpson types, or he can linger around Fayetteville a little longer, risk losing it all, and keep his adoring local fans.
I hope he stays, but there is nothing in it for him.

Or he could lose everything. Just look at Bradford.

How has he last everything? He'll still probably go in the first round.

bradford will still be a 1st rd pick
mallett would be if he stays n comes out next yr i actually think if he declares this yr he loses millions
1st rd qb's:
bradford
clausen
mccoy

I know Bradford's dad and I'm fairly certain he has a very nice insurance policy on him if things don't work out in the NFL becuase of his injury.

This and it must be a guarantee which few teams are willing to do.

How many teams do people honestly think are going to shell up millions in bonus for a kid with one year of experience under his belt.
Oakland has done crazier things.
