MAJOR DAMAGE near Nick Davis Road in Madison County. Not looking good.

according to meteorologist Brian Davis

quote:

9,000 without power at this time in Limestone County. Because of damage and possibility of another front coming in power for some customers could be out overnight. The Athens Substation is up and Belle Mina Substation should be up soon. French’s Mill Substation will take more time. 24 poles were knocked down in the Nick Davis Road area.

I miss Dan Satterfield. You used to be able to tell how bad weather was going to be just by how big of a tent he was pitching.

It's 72 degrees and looks like this right now.

Schools have let out and most businesses are sending people home.

Looks exactly the same here in Starkville... it's eerie out though you can feel it coming. What sucks is most people will think it won't be bad because it doesn't look bad out, then all of a sudden bam a supercell pops up and you have 5 min to get shelter.
