Very experienced. Yes Saban fired him but he has a ton of knowledge, and is an excellent recruiter. He is a major component to Herman's success. Would imagine he stays at UH.

I had forgot about that. Why did Saban fire him?

I remember a bright October day when a twenty-something year old Applewhite, after losing two starting OL and RB just that morning, took John Chavis to the woodshed.

Saban didn't fire him. He was encouraged to explore his options.

I will say he was given some OC jobs too soon while too young
I'm sure he's a ton more seasoned now

That's my point. It is plausible he is as much responsible for Houston's success as Herman is. He has coached under some big names.

17-35, 185 yards
28-53, 240 yards
14-40, 234 yards
16-34, 121 yards
21-31, 246 yards
12-26, 113 yards
Those were John Parker Wilson's stats in Bama's six losses in 2007.

Not if Herman comes to LSU

If Herman leaves he would probably get promoted.

That's good stat lines for an LSU QB.
