He skipped spring football because he was about to get drafted. He didn't need to keep playing football to save the baseball team a scholarship.
There's an article about this with the Advocate or Times Pic, where Mitchell said he was preparing for spring football but then Mainieri (after talking it over with Les) sat him down and explained that his future was in baseball.

Where's the 75% and the 4 out of 5 hitters and ace pitcher that Smoke recruited???
Your lineup arranged by batting average:
LeMahieu - Mainieri
Schimpf - Smoke
Ochinko - Smoke
Dean - Smoke
Mitchell - Smoke
Your pitching staff by ERA and wins:
Coleman - Smoke
Ranaudo - Mainieri
Any more questions or can class now be dismissed?

YEs, backup your original claim 75% of our 2009 team was smoke's players. I broke down the entire roster which was 12/34 players were Smoke's and then by starters which 5 of 13 were smokes.

smoke never fricking coached them you idiot
Where did I say he coached them?
I said he recruited them. That statement gives your dumbass fanbase repeated aneurysms where they try to change my argument to something else they can actually argue against -- instead of the simple fact as it was presented.

Considering Katz struck out at that at-bat I'd say it was a good decision to throw behind his bitch arse and scare him

He didn't recruit "75% of the 2009 team". You were wrong, and VERY wrong at that.

How does it feel that his "bitch arse" donkey punched your team this weekend?

Yeah, if it was Cohen's call, it was his best call of the weekend.

I just think its a dumb argument to say a past coach recruited him, WOW he got him to sign a fricking piece of paper to come play a sport. Never coached him let alone were they ever in the same fuggin dugout. Paul M coached the kids therefore he gets the credit.

Register for MSU or LSU's premium video service, click "watch full game" and then see Cohen's mound visit after Katz' second homer.
I'm assume you watched the game?
Of course I watched. You are just full of shite on what you say happened. Feel free to post a screen grab, since you were obviously the only one that allegedly saw this.
