I just think the Pollsters are looking for excuses to not have an SEC vs SEC bcs game.

This is what I've said since getting there became a realistic possibility...

Are we really counting Texas A&M as a top 10 team?

Definitely. I fully agree, but, in all honesty, can you really blame them?

The SEC has systematically dismantled, not just beat, every team they have faced in the NCG over the last 5 years. Also, you have the sports writers and news casters stating that fact as well.

Fans of other conferences are more than likely getting tired of it.

Does that make it right to vote purely on that though? IMO, no.

Not at all. To me, its just the way that they are being given this opportunity without any objectivity. They have beaten a total of, what, 4 teams with winning records?

I think they are a really good team and if they get in, so be it, but saying Bama is a better team doesn't mean they deserve a chance. When you have similar resumes, common sense tells you to go with the team that hasn't had a chance at playing number 1. People are going to look back on this in 20 years and wonder how a team that already lost got to play them over a team with just as good of a resume, if not better.

I think Oklahoma State is gonna make it to the BCSCG, and people are actually going to look back at this like we look at the Oklahoma team that got drubbed by USC. Everybody now says "damn, Auburn should have gotten in the game"...and I think thats exactly how it will play out this time.

There is that chance, but unlike this year, Oklahoma hadn't already lost to USC.

didn't seem to bother anyone in the Big 12 when Nebraska played in the 2001 championship and Oklahoma played in the 2003 championship without winning their conference.

I personally still believe winning in the SEC is more impressive than winning in the Big...12...10? Whatever.

the bottom 7 of the SEC were pretty bad this year...Bama played 2 out of the top 5 and beat 1.

It bothered a lot of people actually. Not to mention, the circumstances were different and anyone can realize as much.

They could have instituted a rule that only conference champs can play for title... They didn't

Main 2 reasons they won't is because they don't deserve it. The Cowchips lost to a bad Iowa State team and played in the weak Big Whatever while Bama was edged out by the #1 team and played in the SEC. It's not a complicated concept.

1.Iowa State is bowl eligible
2.Eight of 10 Big 12 schools are as well
3.Every computer/media poll has Big 12 ranked as the number 1 conference.

Thus, you are either ignorant, or dumbass.

they dont need an "excuse". they can just vote for Stanford as the #2 if they feel like it. no one can challenge their votes.

Uh, I think that was a rating of conference strength. SEC #1 and Big 12(10) #2.

wins over top 10 opponents:
Bama=0 Okie State= 2

After OK slips out this week.

Won't this be Bama = 1 and Okie State = 0

Arkansas will be the only opponent in the top 10. Or I am missing a team?
