I dont know if you followed the Houston Bates saga but Im of the belief its playing a big part in Johnsons commitment. Regardless, LSU wasnt going to get them all in state with so many huge prospects. If he goes to Bama then good luck to him.

Good player - hope he ends up at LSU

Not a huge loss if we don't get him though.

Will be a huge loss if the other DT's fall through.

As long as we would get Hunter, it's no big loss.

Heard the same thing last year w/ DD Jones from Bastrop...He played as a TF and will be a stud in the coming years. I appreciate LSU not signing top quality DT's

I'm not worried about losing him, I think he'll be at LSU when it's all over. He has visted bama and said he liked ttown just like all the other LSU players who have visted bama. MJ has stated he wants to wait until signing day to choose his school. Will bama hold a spot for him if he really wants to wait? For that matter will LSU with limited schollies to give out?

DD will be good.

But the coaches liked Josh Downs and Chris Davenport better and we couldn't take everyone at DT.

Now I'm sure they would of traded Akiem Hicks for DD Jones in retrospect now...

Looks like another Josh Chapman. As long as he's as hard a worker as Chapman it's all good IMO.

Sugatown, MJ is about our 5th or 6th choice. In any other year he'd be top 3. Possible negatives r height and HS district is weak.

Not sold on this kid.

He's strong as a bull for sure, but his size and arm length throw me off.

I am also not a fan of his coach at St. Pauls at all.

We are in on much better players on D... slow play him and see how thigns turn out would be cool with me.
