I see your point. I think what we're stoked about is that we have the most proven players that can make an immediate impact vs an incoming class of high school prospects with potential.
Most of the players in those highly ranked recruiting classes won't even be at the same school 2 years from now when they actually realize their potential.

On3 the #1 recruiting service has Brown #1. The 247 composite has him #2 NOT #4

I gotcha. That makes more sense. If you’re saying that could skew the numbers slightly because quarterbacks and receivers may be rated higher, I can understand that in certain aspects.

NOW just do the portal? The high school class is ALL about the BEST DLine class ever signed. BEST WR in LA is usually all american type talent. SIGNED the #1 CB in the '27 class a year early.

Learned in Mr Babineaux's 1st grade math class at good old Galliano Elementary School that 12 is LESS than what half of 30 is. Not to brag but I was in the advanced math class.
Before those 12 commits LSU had ZERO scholarship QBs and only 2 WRs and one of the WRs hit the portal yesterday.

And yet 99% of them couldn't tell me where the holes are in cover 3 vs cover 4 or the differences in responsibility for a 7 vs 5 tech
