LSU improved on offense and defense throughout the season. The D especially turned a corner following the Ole Miss game.
Mac Jones would not have led Bama to a win in a rematch.

I, for one, was pulling for Bama to make the CFP. The melt by Bama fans after getting beat by LSU twice in one season would have been epic.
