UCF is 91st in total defense playing the 66th ranked schedule. Their best total defenses they've played are South Florida at 16, and Navy at 46.

Putting all Arkansas fans in the same book. Is the same as saying all Auburn fans wanted to fire Gus every time he loses. All fan bases have their nutjobs. I never wanted Gus & I never wanted Bielema. I don’t think Gus ever wanted to come to Arkansas. And was just using his last lifeline at Arkansas to get a raise. In some ways I wish Auburn had called his Bluff. Just to see him stay at Auburn for a lot less money. IMO, Gus burned most of his Arkansas bridges back in 07. I think he’s happy at Auburn & I’m happy for him. I just don’t think long term, he’ll provide your fan base with the happiness they want. Good Luck with UCF. I’m always an SEC fan

I wasn't trying to impugn all Arkansas fans. But it does seem clear there is some type of regional/geographical tension about Gus in Arkansas.
Their reaction to Gus is the definition of conflicted. I am sure it has a lot to do with things I do not see, but it is clear there is a real divide here.
A good coaching hire makes the issue diminish though.

UT talked to Chad Morris. Kiffin's name has also been floated around for the UT job as well. Venables name was mentioned briefly for the Ms State job. Really the only guy on that list that hasn't garnered interest is Norvell.

All are still available. I think Hogs announce a coach this afternoon. I think it’s Norvell. Wouldn’t be upset with any of them
