Correct. They set numbers based on how they think people will bet, not based on how they think the game will go. Vegas doesn't do one-way payouts. They always hedge.
Prediction: The money will still flow in on LSU and they'll raise it even higher. Probably top out around 15 points.

10-3 vs spread, and the three games they didn’t cover, they won by 3 (Auburn), 21 (Ole Miss) and 36 (Arkansas). You really think Vegas thinks OU will win straight up?

I don't give a shite what your team is against the spread. Vegas wants enough money to come in on both sides so they don't lose their arse. That's how Vegas works.

LSU is gonna blow OU out. We just manhandled number 2 D in the country. Burrow will throw for over 500 yards, OU secondary is awful. And you thought 2003 was rough.
