LSU will beat Alabama 3 consecutive seasons
You can have that, I'll keep the two national titles over a three season span. Some LSU fans are starting to sound like some little brother Auburn fans, measuring a season's success on one game.

This is what comes of disrespect.

I loved watching Prothro...every bit a Reggie Bush type player, maybe better. It's sad when any kid gets hurt like that but someone with that talent seems to make it even worse. But in a conversation where 'skullfricked', 'raped' and other such terms are used by the classless...this shouldn't surprise. But I agree obviously, plus everything I remember about him he was a truly good guy, not a prima donna type like Bush. Working a 9-5 making little money as opposed to millions has got to be terrible.

On second thought...regardless how poor the conversation is, got nothing to do with a college kid giving his all...very poor. I'll go back and try to find post and RA myself...FWIW.

That's an understatement. LSU was embarrassed. And no, it doesn't happen to SEC teams. Thanks for being the first.
your right, it never happened before where a team one team already beat in their same conference has to play that same team again in the championship. Never happened before. Look it up. (Not even the same thing as Florida-Florida St. 96.) So don't try to act like that wasn't an unusual situation and will always be the hardest thing to overcome in College football.

LSU has great players, but Bama has Saban. He loses to no one 3 times in a row. You didn't get close in the 2nd game last year. The difference in the National Championship was Nick Saban
No one in college football should be asked to have to attempt that feat. That's why LSU fans were so pissed when it happened. No team in the history of modern College football was asked to beat a team as good as Bama was TWICE in the same year. Show me a year where this happened. The only year that comes close is Florida-Florida St. 96 with similar results and I still think Bama had a much better defense.

Coach Holtz pointed out that the last 7 rematches the loser of the first won the second (I think that is right). So the loss isn't peculiar ot UA/LSU, it seems the trend, not quite sure why. Perhaps the losing teams makes more adjustments than the winning teams for obvious reasons. Coach Saban made a big move by having AJ coming out throwing. Maybe it's motivation (already did this...now again). I don't know. Doesn't seem to be an issue in NFL. Odd.

Like I said earlier, it's clear one team didn't deserve to be in that game, but it wasn't Bama
If you are going to use that kind of logic and reasoning for one game, then I guess since we already beat you earlier in the year, how do we know if 1/9 was not a fluke? We probably should have played one more time a week later to really figure it out.
