Mullen is 1-6ish against lsu. Who cares how close they are. Sounds a lot like miles against Alabama

In 2014, State destroyed LSU with Dak.
In 2015, LSU got lucky State derped at the end of the game.
In 2016, LSU barely escaped with Nik Fitzgerald playing one of his first road games.
LSU is far from State's daddy.

We dominated state in 2015 but let em back in last few minutes when we were already celebrating. Look they can't deny that we've owned them but they have Mullen and the dogs are a much better program now. Mullen has always lacked one key component. And that's a solid D.C. He has one now. State is a good team. Usually if we would lose to state like 2014 I would know our season probably done and we're not that good. That's not the case this year Imo. If we lose a close one I won't be one to think the sky is falling just yet. I believe they will be right there with Lsu and auburn fighting for 2nd.

I see this notion expressed in numerous posts, but it's such an absurd, fatuous assertion.
Yes, MSU controlled much of the game. Yes, fans were emptying early. However, dominating for 3 quarters does not equate to destroying someone (just ask A&M). Regardless of circumstances or stats, it's asinine to pretend a game was an arse whooping when the outcome could have switched on the last play of the game.

So, you assert that MSU's defense has massively improved based on Charleston and La Tech, but Etling hasn't because he only played against BYU and Chatt?
