The freshman excuse is a joke. LSU has one excuse in that game, one healthy d linemen in that game. Greg Gilmore and Lacatoure were the only experienced lineman who were full speed. Lawrence and Alexander were injured and slowed. Herron was suspended and Key was fat and slow.
The line of scrimmage was the difference in the game and LSU is in a much better position there now than during that game.
I don’t think this LSU team is that good but they are much improved now.

That wasn't the argument. I was hoping for NY6 bowl but by Georgia losing, I think it eliminated a NY6 game. I think State will State will go to the Outback but that just me. LSU on the other hand, Texas or Belk bowl.

We will be the #2 team in the West (3rd overall in SEC) if we win and Auburn loses. If we win and despite what Auburn or Miss St does the Bulldogs will be 4th place in the West.
