i love it. 2004 LSU is my second favorite game i have ever seen live at sanford stadium, or anywhere for that matter, behind only 2007 blackout vs Auburn. they kicked arse that day and i just loved that pic

my avi is the 2005 SECCG with dj shockley but my sig is from 2004 in sanford stadium. you can tell because it's so bright and not in the GA Dome which has always been kind of dimly lit in comparison to most stadium including other domes
also if you look closely at the caption you can see it says 2004

A few thoughts:
LSU opened -10 24 hours ago, and are up to -13.5. This is "smart money" coming from professional handicappers. A tsunami of money. From the pros.
LSU won't hit 40, but they'll score at least 30, even if it takes the entire game. That said, a mediocre UGA offense will be lucky -- LUCKY -- to break 20 on this LSU D. High-powered Arkansas' offense couldn't, how the hell do you expect to score more against us than they did?
Hence the immediate 3.5 point line move. Opening LSU as a double digit favorite wasn't enough to draw a penny of Dawg money. Pretty remarkable. And telling.
LSU thrives on being disrespected. Hell, they NEED to be dissed to play up. That said, someone in the UGA locker room needs to tackle Jarvis Jones and duct tape his mouth shut. Stat. His quotes are being circulated amongst LSU players on Twitter; imagine the feeling at practice. Hey Jarvis: NEWSFLASH: Your D isn't as good as LSU's, and your D isn't better than LSU's.
Arkansas talked a little smack -- just a little -- and it was enough for LSU to answer hardcore. LSU players, one after another, cited disrespect as a motivator. All that "If Arkansas beats LSU, then this or that can happen" pissed off the players, and they alluded to this after the game.
This same talk is now not only coming from the national media once again, but now you have UGA players calling us out 5 days before the game.
UGA is going to get smoked because of all this. Like us LSU fans, this 2011 LSU team takes dissing personally.
UGA will get broadsided. Just like Arkansas did.
34-13 LSU

Our O.line sucks.
Our running game is good. Crowell didn't start v.s. GT,.

Agreed. I predict a 31-17 type game with y'all scoring late to put it to 2 scores.

This game won't be tied later than midway through the 3rd Quarter, at best. Props to you calling the double digit LSU win -- that's very objective -- but saying that the outcome will still be in question going into the 4th Quarter strikes me as wishful thinking.
If Georgia is covering the original 10 points at halftime, consider it a major accomplishment. Georgia's offense is nothing special whatsoever. LSU's offense has more speed, more depth, more talent, and more proven results both in stats and on the scoreboard, against a vastly more difficult schedule.
And sorry, Jarvis Jones, your defense isn't on the same plain as LSU's. Only Bama's is.
Save this post! If I'm wrong, I'll eat the crow here for everyone to see. If I'm right, though. Please do throw me a

ummm. i hate to say this, but you don't know shite about professional gambling if you think that the pro money is coming in a week out. Granted, I am much more familiar with horse racing, but the pro money always goes in about 5 seconds before the last horse loads in the gate. There is no way, pro money is coming down on this game yet with a week worth's of practices and injury reports still to come.
To answer some questions about previous games, please recall that UGA was basically playing with walk-on RBs only for both KY and GT- although Thomas got a few carries. Malcome I guess is technically schollie but is 4th string when all are healthy and sometimes 5th behind Harton. That will always change the dynamic of an offense.
While I do think UGA's Dbs need some work in zone coverage, the two CBs are pretty damn good at man coverage. They will get beat, but every secondary usually does eventually.
As for LSU holding down the Triple option during the season, then just look at Bama giving up 21 points against GSU. I think the best stat of this year are the difference in numbers first half to second half for the D. They nearly always adjust and simply shutdown the other team usually. Only when the third string D was in during the 4th against New Mexico St did an offense really move on UGA since the second game. USC scored, but it was usually off of a UGA turnover. The offense just killed the D in that game.
As for defensive coaches- yeah I will take Grantham, Olivadotti, Garner, and Scott Lakatos over just about any group.

How uncouth would it be to play Zack Mettenberger if we have a four possession lead in the fourth quarter?
Posted on 11/28/11 at 6:45 pm to SoGaFan
Our DBs only seem good comparatively speaking. We had Waterhead for so long that any improvement in the secondary seems like a friggin miracle. Opposing receivers would be dancing the ball into the endzone while our group of turds would be trying to cover them from Chattanooga.
That being said,
Grantham > hot cup of piss > 1/4 Willie

We have no beef with him
UGA had no choice but to let him go

I think this will be a relatively close game. I saw the line on my betting site a second ago and it was -14. I think that's pretty damn close, but right now my $ would have to be UGA.
I think UGA runs the ball better and has a better run defense than Arkansas does, and they've got a good QB. Arkansas was w/ LSU for 3Qs (24-17 heading to 4th). The Hogs didn't play their A game, either.
That said, I doubt UGA gets a DTD like Arkansas did either. LSU is clearly the superior team.
I say LSU 30, UGA 17.

I like UGA's TE. I also like Safeties cheating on inside help. TM7 has stripped multiple TEs this season so it isn't just RBs and Receivers he is doing that to.
