Yep and you one of them, god I respect LSU and everything they contribute to the SEC but some of the posters on here make me hate em with a passion

Yeah, recruiting titles don't add trophies to the case. With that said, it's really more than obvious which SEC team has the deepest and most talented roster on defense. It's also equally obvious which team is better coached and most prepared to play the game. The SEC has several teams with very good defenses and there is a shite ton of defensive talent here in the south and a lot of that talent resides in Baton Rouge. I think what Tide fans are saying is that as good of a defense as you guys will have it just won't measure up to what is fielded in crimson this year and it didn't last year.
Nobody is criticizing the tiger defense, it's gonna be pretty special imo.

History says bama's defensive numbers (PPG and total D) will actually get a little worse in '16.
It sure was nice last year when williams could sip some sweet tea on the sidelines for almost the whole game. He steps in after Reed and Robinson beat the crap out of the OT on first and second down. Nineteen tackles in 15 games played doesn't mean he will be a great every down player. In spring game didn't he go up against a second team OT most of the game?
Again Godchaux and T White would start. Toliver would be nickle or dime back. KEY will be a holy terror in '16.
Coach "O" is one of the best DL coaches in the country. Dave Aranda is one of the BEST YOUNG dfensive minds out there and coach Raymond heads up DBU. Damn solid defensive staff.
How bout you name some of those great bama backups that are better than LSU's starters?

So, only 2 of the 11. Bama 9.
Bama has overall the better players, better overall depth, better Coach, way more experience in the current schemes. Bama will have the better Defense.
Not a knock on LSu's defense, they will be good. But just won't be as good as Bama, no shame in that.

Bama backups last year that are better than LSU starters:
Daron Payne NG.
Tim Williams OLB.
Rashaan Evans LB.
D. Hand DE.
You are also only better at one safety spot than we are and it's really not by much.
Bama is better on the DL, better at LB (mr. Key would be second team), and better in the secondary. Not to mention that Nick Saban is the best defensive mind in college football (maybe pro football as well) and you guys are totally changing schemes this year. Again, you guys had a good defense last year, we were elite. This year will be the same song. Even your best defense ever in 2011 was still over shadowed by a better Bama group. Nothing new here.

When it's all over Bama wins. Because of one reason, Saban has Les's mojo. And that's a fact.

All kidding aside, you gumps really need to come back down to earth. Your favorite football program has had a lot of success, but the levels of personal grandiosity many of you bring to this board is rather unhealthy.

They didn't stack the box...
They didn't have to. They played a lot of 50 front and just crashed both safeties and their LBers down every play and had 9 guys flow to wherever Fournette went. They weren't scared of getting beaten over the top at all and had no reason to do so. Pretty easy gameplan....

Pay them no mind...it most certainly could be a repeat. Also, our secondary is better then theirs...and I really can't wait to see arandas 2 down linemen formations. He will bring more exotic looks on defense then Meyer did on offense.
And let's not forget about the loss of Kirby smart. Sure it's sabans defense and they've always been able to plug and play with coaches. However, this one is different in the fact that he's been with saban forever.
And let them keep underrating the talent of our defense. Key, godchaux, beckwith, white, Neal, Adams, toliver may ALL be first rounders not to mention Devin white will be holy fricking terror in his FIRST YEAR.
They don't get it..they're not leaving with a win. I will bet my house on it.

Bama fans are getting kind of elitist and are due a let down. It is coming sooner than later

I don't know that our fans are becoming elitist but our defense definitely is. Yours won't be chopped liver either.

LSU win
Book it
Tigers will have the game well in hand by the 2nd possession of the 3rd quarter.
Then for a year we will hear about how bama beat itself.

It's been fun watching Saban destroy what he helped build.

LSU offensive play calling was atrocious, unless that is changed expect the same result.
